Bryan Idol Has Strong Words for Silas Mason Ahead of NWA 'Looks That Kill'

Tensions boiled over between Bryan Idol and “The Thrillbilly” Silas Mason when the two came face-to-face on NWA Powerrr.

It was a verbal sparring match ahead of their upcoming physical clash, recorded in Dothan, AL. The competitors will do battle at Looks That Kill, kicking off next week on the National Wrestling Alliance’s flagship Tuesday broadcasts.

“I have been busting my ass to ensure our stars are seen by the great fans of the National Wrestling Alliance all over the United States,” says Idol, who is not only a full-time wrestler but also the NWA’s National Promoter.

Idol’s ascent to this role was a focal point of the acclaimed eight-part reality series Billy Corgan’s Adventures in Carnlyand, now streaming globally on Peacock. He has since been hard at work on the National Wrestling Alliance’s coast-to-coast expansion, including the recent addition of NWA Texas as an official NWA territory, with more to come.

“The Southern Six are incredible draws at NWA Signature Live Events and territory shows across the country,” Idol admits. “But, bro, the way those guys talk to me and treat the team giving them those opportunities…I’m sick of it!”

Over a month ago, Mason and his cohorts Kerry Morton and World Junior Heavyweight Champion Alex Taylor attacked interviewer Kyle Davis on the set of NWA Powerrr. The broadcaster has since admitted that emotions compromised his professionalism during an interview with The Southern Six, but Idol says the ensuing assault crossed all boundaries.

“It was unacceptable!” Idol declares bluntly.

The ambush resulted in a less-than-successful return to the ring for Davis, with individuals like Colby Corino and Idol ultimately coming to his defense. Now, Idol points out, the matter with Mason has become personal.

“From Silas and his goons attacking Kyle to the way they think they can speak to me,” he says, “At Looks That Kill, I promise I’m going to bust that dude square in his big mouth!”

The two will go to war in the Dothan Civic Center, the same venue where the National Wrestling Alliance will present the Hard Times V Signature Live Event on March 22. Idol warns Mason not to underestimate him.

“Silas might think I’ve gotten soft spending so much time traveling the country and helping bring the National Wrestling Alliance to great cities like Dothan, AL,” he says.

“First and foremost, Bryan Idol is and always will be a professional wrestler — and a world-traveled, damn good one,” he concludes. “So if Silas Mason thinks I won’t kick his ass and remind him of that at the NWA Signature Live Event named after me, he’s dumber than he looks!”

New episodes of NWA Powerrr stream worldwide every Tuesday at 6:05 PM EST on the National Wrestling Alliance X (formerly Twitter) account.
