NWA's Max the Impaler Makes OutSports 'Power 100'
Amanda Nuñes, Sha’Carry Richardson, Brittney Griner… Max the Impaler. All rank alongside legends like Johnny Weir, Martina Navratilova and Billie Jean King on the OutSports 2024 Power 100.
Max the Impaler is one of only three professional wrestlers to make the annual list of the most influential LGBTQ people in sports today. The popular website ranks “The Non-Binary Nightmare” at No. 98.
This is only the latest accolade collected by “The Warlord of the Wasteland.” In January, Max made National Wrestling Alliance history by defeating Mims, now the reigning NWA National champion, to became the first competitor to simultaneously hold the NWA Women’s TV and NWA World Television titles.
“Max has been a dominant force in the National Wrestling Alliance for the last several years,” says NWA Chief Operating Officer Joe Galli.
”’The Non-Binary Nightmare’ has undoubtedly broken boundaries,” Galli continues, “Now their work in the National Wrestling Alliance has clearly had a lasting impact well beyond professional wrestling.”
The groundbreaking feats in the NWA® catapulted Max the Impaler to the top of the 2024 QWI 200. It was their first time at No. 1 on OutSports’ annual ranking of the year’s top LGBTQ wrestlers worldwide. Additional placements in the Pro Wrestling Illustrated PWI 500 and PWI Women’s 250 followed.
In addition to their dominant performance in NWA®, Max the Impaler is a certified attraction in Japan. A star in Tokyo Joshi Pro, where they are a former Princess and tag team champion, “The Non-Binary Nightmare” has made the Land of the Rising Sun their personal Wasteland repeatedly in 2024.
