NWA World’s Champion Puts Title On the Line Against Former wXw Unified World Wrestling Champion
EC3 is making good on his promise to be a true “World’s Champion.” His next rigorous challenge for the National Wrestling Alliance World’s Heavyweight title comes from one of Europe’s best July 6 in France.
At Banger Zone Wrestling’s Not Afraid, EC3 puts “The Ten Pounds of Gold” on the line against Tristan Archer. The match pits two of the world’s best against one-another with the sport’s most legendary prize on the line.
A former NWA National champion, EC3 has reigned atop the company since August 2023. “The Over Man” became “The Over Champ” by winning the NWA World’s title at NWA 75 in St. Louis, MO.
In the months since, EC3 has defended the championship coast-to-coast in the United States as well as against opponents in the United Kingdom and Japan. His most recent international defense was against All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Ryuki Honda at Tokyo’s famed Korukuen Hall in May.
His opponent, a 15-year ring veteran trained by Lance Storm, is widely considered among Europe’s brightest and most decorated stars. The French-born competitor is a two-time Unified World Wrestling Champion for German promotion Westside Xtreme Wrestling. Additionally, Archer twice held the International Catch Wrestling Alliance Heavyweight title, is a former Hungarian Championship Wrestling champ and more. He ranked No. 78 in Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s 2023 PWI 500.
This epic confrontation takes place July 6, when BZW Not Afraid draws the NWA World’s champion and top stars from across Europe and worldwide to Faches Thumesnil, France. The match could have significant implications for future NWA events.
EC3 is currently scheduled to defend the NWA World’s title in the main event of NWA 76, coming to Philadelphia on August 31. The NWA’s biggest Signature Live Event of the year, the anniversary spectacular sees the promotion return to the legendary 2300 Arena for the first time in 30 years.
The NWA World’s title, and all other NWA championships, are expected be up-for-grabs in Philly at NWA 76. Tickets are on sale now.
