NWA World Tag Titles Up for Grabs Dec. 14 at 'Looks That Kill' In Dothan, AL
The National Wrestling Alliance World Tag Team Titles are on the line at Looks That Kill in Dothan, AL! Champions Knox & Murdoch defend their belts Dec. 14 against Daisy Kill and “The Towering” Talos.
“We’ve been watching those two,” states reigning champion Trevor Murdoch. “In Dothan, Daisy Kill and Talos get their shot to become NWA World Tag Team Champions — but they’ve got one helluva road ahead!”
Knox and Murdoch have been NWA World Tag Team champions since June 2. The veteran team, also the 2023 Crockett Cup winners, unseated Aron Stevens’ Blunt Force Trauma for the titles at NWA Back to the Territories in Knoxville, TN.
During that same period, Talos and Kill made National Wrestling Alliance history in their own right. They won a tournament to become the first two-time NWA United States tag team champions of the Lightning One Era.
The Looks That Kill match came to fruition on the Dec. 3 episode of NWA Powerrr. There Talos and Kill up-ended former U.S. tag champs Kratos and Odinson — The Immortals — to become No. 1 contenders to Knox & Murdoch.
“Those guys are not only under-rated in the National Wrestling Alliance but all of pro wrestling,” admits two-time NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion Murdoch, taking nothing away from the challengers.
“You’ve got a 7-foot monster next to an arrogant…well, I think he’s a ‘hippy’…who doesn’t care about anyone but himself,” he continues. “We are absolutely not taking Talos and Kill lightly."
That said, the champions are determined to retain at the Dothan Civic Center. Murdoch has no qualms giving the challengers a bit of veteran advice.
“It’s time for everybody in the NWA to step the [expletive] up,” Murdoch states.
“Talos and Kill, if you think you’re good enough to be the World Tag Team Champion, prepare for a beating like no other,” he concludes. “At Looks That Kill, we’ll remind you — and let everyone know — when you step into the ring with Knox and Murdoch, you will not come out the same."
Also on the Signature Live Event is a highly-anticipated Women’s World Title defense. Champion Kenzie Paige puts the belt on the line against No. 1 contender “Hollyhood” Haley J.
The stacked card also features the first-ever women’s cage match in Alabama history. Natalia Markova steps into four sides of steel against long-time rival “La Princesa" Tiffany Nieves.
Additionally, “The Thrillbilly” Silas Mason squares off against Bryan Idol. “Future Legend” Kerry Morton revisits his never-ending contempt for Colby Corino. A second cage match for a yet-to-be-disclosed NWA title is also scheduled. More matches to be announced soon.
