2019 Crockett Cup Winners: BRODY KING & PCO (Villain Enterprises)
After extended hiatus, The Crockett Cup returned during a pivotal point in NWA history. The National Wrestling Alliance found itself challenged by forces from Ring of Honor.
The drama played out amidst the tournament finals. Brody King and PCO, of ROH’s interloping Villain Enterprises, faced fledgling NWA duo Thom Latimer and Royce Isaacs.
Appropriately dubbed “The Wild Cards,” as they were last minute entrants due to a lottery-style battle royal victory, Isaacs and Latimer battled all the way to the finals. They ultimately proved no match for the ROH World Tag Team Champions on April 27 in Concord, NC.
While the Cup belonged to King and PCO, it was the start of great things for The Wild Cards. They later joined faction Strictly Business and became two-time NWA World Tag Team Champions.
