The Smashing Pumpkins have lived in the public eye for decades as a platinum-selling, globetrotting rock act. As the band’s frontman, Billy Corgan is accustomed to the spotlight.
Despite all that, William Patrick Corgan remains a very private person. It made the National Wrestling Alliance President extremely hesitant to open his life to reality television.
In 2023, though, Corgan did exactly that. Camera crews tracked his every move behind-the-scenes of the NWA, a Smashing Pumpkins world tour and the months leading to his wedding to now-wife Chloé Mendel.
The result is Billy Corgan’s Adventures in Carnyland. Launched May 14 on The CW, critics and fans alike are already weighing in on the eight episode series.
